Morning Grace Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how BridgebotAI ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Morning Grace: Prayer Alarm mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App"). It does not apply to Bridge Bot AI's other products; see our general Privacy Policy for those.
Morning Grace is an AI companion inspired by the teachings of Jesus. The daily prayer it delivers is generated content intended for encouragement and reflection. It is not, and does not claim to be, literal divine communication, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, or pastoral care.
Morning Grace is a paid subscription app. This policy covers both what the App collects and how your subscription information is handled.
2. Privacy at a Glance
- No email address, password, or account credentials are required to use the App
- Your profile is identified by an anonymous identifier created on your device
- Morning Grace is a paid subscription app. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card details
- Your prayers are personalized, so what you tell us during setup is used to write them
- We use one analytics service (Mixpanel) to understand how the App is used. The words you write in your prayer requests, your notes, and your chat messages are never sent to it
- We do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites
- We do not sell or share your personal information
- The App does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, or location
- You can delete your account and all of your data at any time, in-app or by email
3. Information We Collect
The App does not require an email address or password. The information we collect is what you provide during setup and while using the App, plus what is needed to schedule and deliver your morning call:
| Data | Example | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| First name | Entered by you during setup ("What should we call you?") | Personalizes your prayers and your experience in the App |
| Age | Selected by you during setup | Confirms you are at least 13 years old and helps keep content appropriate for your age |
| Setup questions | What is on your heart, how your mornings begin, who you carry in prayer, the season your faith is in, and your preferred Bible translation | Shapes the prayer that is written for you |
| Prayer requests and call notes | Free text you choose to write, such as a prayer request during setup or something you want your morning call to know | Used to write prayers that speak to what you are actually carrying. See section 5 |
| Device identifier | A random identifier generated on first launch and stored securely on your device | Identifies your profile and settings without requiring an email or password |
| Timezone | e.g. America/New_York (detected automatically from your device) | Delivers your morning call at the correct local time |
| Alarm settings | Wake-up time, days of week, snooze duration, voice choice | Runs your alarm the way you configured it |
| Call history, reactions, and streak count | Which past prayers you have listened to, how you reacted, and any feedback you send | Lets you replay prayers, see your streak, and helps us improve the App |
| Subscription status | Which plan you bought, whether it is on a trial, active, in a billing grace period, or expired, when it renews, and the transaction identifier Apple gives us | Confirms that your subscription is active so the App works. See section 6 |
| Chat messages | Messages you send in the in-app chat, and the replies it sends back | Provides the chat feature. See section 8 |
| Usage events | Which screens you opened, that you finished setup, that a prayer played, that you started a trial | Helps us understand where the App works well and where people get stuck. See section 7 |
What We Do NOT Collect
- Your email address, surname, or any account credentials
- Your card number or any payment details. Apple processes your payment and does not share them with us
- Your precise or approximate location
- Your contacts or photos
- Microphone recordings or any audio you create
- Advertising identifiers. We do not perform tracking, so we never request App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS
4. How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate the App: writing and delivering your personalized morning prayer, confirming you meet our minimum age requirement, scheduling your alarm, prefetching your prayer so it works offline, showing your call history and streak, confirming your subscription is active, and keeping the App safe. We do not use your information for advertising or for selling anything to anyone else.
A small number of authorized staff can view certain information through our internal administration tools, strictly for customer support, quality, and safety review. Section 5 explains exactly what that covers.
5. Prayer Requests, Notes, and Other Sensitive Information
Morning Grace asks you about things that are personal by nature: what is weighing on you, who you are praying for, where your faith is right now, and anything you want your morning call to know. Some of this is a choice from a list, and some of it is free text in your own words. This is sensitive information about your religious life and your personal circumstances, so we want to be plain about how it is handled.
What is collected
- Your answers to the setup questions about your burdens, your mornings, who you carry in prayer, and your faith season
- A prayer request you write during setup, in your own words (up to 500 characters)
- Notes you add later from the "Your info" screen about what you want your morning call to know (up to 500 characters)
- A short summary of each past prayer, so today's prayer continues the thread instead of repeating it
How it is used
This information is used to write your prayers. When your prayer is generated, your first name, your streak, your setup answers, your prayer request, your notes, summaries of your recent prayers, and the day's Bible verse are assembled into instructions that are sent to OpenAI, which drafts the script. The finished script is then sent to ElevenLabs, which produces the spoken audio. Section 6 lists these providers.
Your own words are passed to the model as personal detail only, never as instructions, and the App is built so that your prayer request is not read back to you word for word.
How it is protected
- Your prayer request and your call notes are encrypted in our database, in addition to the encryption of the database itself
- Our internal administration tools do not display your prayer request or your call notes. Staff reviewing the App can see your first name, generated prayer scripts, and chat messages that safety checks have flagged, as described below
How it is moderated
Notes you save are checked by an automated moderation service before they are stored, and text that is flagged is discarded rather than kept. Every generated prayer script is checked automatically before any audio is made from it: it is verified to quote the day's verse accurately, screened against topics the App will not speak about, and passed through a moderation service. A script that fails is not delivered.
Notes are also checked for signs that you may be in crisis. If that check is triggered, the App shows you crisis resources and records that this happened, so that our team can review it. See section 8.
6. Subscriptions and Payment
Morning Grace is a paid auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase system, and Apple is the merchant of record. Your payment is handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account. We never see, receive, or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details.
After a purchase, Apple sends our servers a signed notification about the subscription. From it we store only what we need to know whether your subscription is active: the transaction identifier Apple assigns, which product you bought, the subscription status, and the date it expires or renews. That notification carries the anonymous identifier for your profile, which is how we know the subscription is yours.
Cancelling, changing plans, updating payment details, and requesting refunds are all handled by Apple in your Apple Account settings. See our Terms & Conditions for the subscription terms themselves.
7. Analytics
The App uses Mixpanel to understand how Morning Grace is used, so we can see where it works and where people get stuck. Mixpanel receives events such as starting setup, entering a name, answering a setup question, adding or skipping a prayer request, a prayer being generated, allowing or skipping the alarm permission, playing and completing a call, viewing the paywall, selecting a plan, starting a trial, and the steps of a purchase or restore. Each event is recorded against the same anonymous identifier your profile uses, and screen views are recorded as you move through the App. Our servers also send subscription events, such as a renewal or a cancellation, that happen while the App is closed.
What is never sent to Mixpanel: the words you write. Your prayer request, your call notes, your feedback text, and your chat messages are deliberately excluded. Where a prayer request is concerned, the App records only whether you wrote one at all, never what it said. This is a deliberate rule in our code.
Analytics is used to improve the App, not to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and not for advertising.
8. Chat and Safety
Morning Grace includes a chat feature for subscribers, where you can write to your companion and get a reply. The following applies if you use it:
- Your messages and the replies are stored on our servers so the conversation is there when you come back
- Your messages are processed by OpenAI in order to generate a reply
- Every message you send is checked automatically for signs of crisis before any reply is generated. Messages are labelled and, where the check raises a concern, flagged
- If the check identifies a crisis, the App does not generate a companion reply. It shows you crisis resources instead, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the Crisis Text Line, and 911, and it records the event so our team can review it
- Authorized staff can read flagged messages, together with the surrounding conversation, through our internal administration tools. This exists so that a person in trouble is not missed
- Once a week, a summary of recent chat may be written into a short memo attached to your profile, so your morning prayers reflect what has been on your heart. Full transcripts are never placed into your prayer instructions, only this memo
Morning Grace is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, or pastoral care. If you are in danger, please contact 988, text HOME to 741741, or call 911.
9. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with a small number of service providers to operate the App:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Hosts our servers and database (United States)
- Apple: Processes subscription payments as merchant of record and tells our servers your subscription status
- OpenAI: Drafts your personalized prayer script from the information described in section 5, generates chat replies, and provides the automated moderation and crisis checks
- ElevenLabs: Turns the finished prayer script into spoken audio
- Mixpanel: Receives the usage events described in section 7
We do not use advertising SDKs, and the App contains no ads.
10. Data Security & Storage
- Your anonymous identifier is stored securely on your device (iOS Keychain / Android equivalent secure storage)
- Your prayer request and call notes are encrypted in our database
- All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS)
- Our internal administration tools require a separate staff login
- Our servers and database are located in the United States
11. Data Retention
We retain your profile information, setup answers, prayer requests and notes, alarm settings, prayer history, streak count, chat conversations, and subscription records for as long as you use the App. If you delete your account (see below), this data is permanently removed.
12. Deleting Your Data
You can delete your account and your data at any time, using either method below:
- In the app: Open the profile screen and choose to delete your account. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently purged from our servers within 24 hours.
- By email: Send a request to privacy@bridgebotai.com. Since the App does not use email accounts, please include the identifier shown on the App's profile screen so we can locate and delete your record.
Deletion removes everything we hold about you: your first name, age, setup answers, prayer requests and call notes, anonymous identifier, timezone, alarm settings, prayer history and audio, streak count, chat conversations, and your subscription records on our servers.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Your subscription is billed by Apple, so it must be cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Please cancel it before deleting your account. The App shows this warning too.
Deleting the App from your phone does not, by itself, delete your data from our servers, and it does not cancel your subscription. Please use one of the methods above.
13. Your Rights
You may request access to, or deletion of, the data described above by contacting us at privacy@bridgebotai.com. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of under CCPA. If you are located in the European Economic Area or UK, you may also contact us to exercise applicable GDPR rights.
14. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App requires users to be at least 13 years old and is not directed to children under 13. We ask your age during setup to enforce this requirement, and an account that indicates an age under 13 is deactivated and purged. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, contact us at privacy@bridgebotai.com and we will delete the associated data.
15. Device Permissions We Request
iOS:
- Alarms (AlarmKit): Required to ring your alarm reliably, even when your device is locked
- Notifications: Used to alert you about your scheduled alarm
- Background audio: Allows your morning prayer to play and be prefetched in the background
Android:
- Exact alarms & full-screen intent: Required so your alarm rings at the exact time you set, like an incoming call
- Notifications, vibrate, wake lock, boot-completed: Used to reliably alert you and restore your alarm after your device restarts
The App does not request microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or location permissions.
16. No Tracking or Advertising
Morning Grace does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not show ads, and does not use advertising identifiers. The analytics described in section 7 measure how the App itself is used and are not shared for advertising. On iOS, the App never presents an App Tracking Transparency request because it does not perform tracking.
17. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
